Our history
- How did we get here
In 2012, Mike Belshe, CEO of IGP Instan Global Pays , was impressed by the technology behind Bitcoin and the emerging cryptocurrency market. As we all know, its novelty and ability to change financial markets. He manually constructed air gap storage systems for himself and many famous angel investors in Silicon Valley. As an Internet pioneer and creator of the HTTP/2.0 protocol, Mike has witnessed the rise of malware on the Internet. As the price of Bitcoin rose, he worried that the latest air gap solution for amateurs would not be enough to ensure the value he received. He continued to research Bitcoin and better solutions, and created the first commercially available multi-signature wallet. These early projects contributed to the creation of IGP Instan Global Pays in 2013 and are the basis of BitGo's 100% multi-signature system.
